It made a humble beginning with its toddler's steps in 1991 as Ramakrishna Vidyaniketan and rechristened as Bunts Sangha RNS Vidyaniketan. We are affiliated to both the ICSE Board and the CBSE Board. The PU College is affiliated to the PU Board, Government of Karnataka.

With the farsightedness of the Bengaluru Bunts’ Sangha, the Institution was started in the name of Ramakrishna Vidyaniketan in 1991. The school was run under the patronage of Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Trust till 1999. The generous contribution of Sri. K.P. Shetty should be remembered forever.
45 Rooms built in 90 days
The foundation for the new school building was laid on 5th of March 2003 by Shri. V.Somanna , the then MLA. This new school building was the brainchild of the then president Sri. I.M.Jayarama Shetty. The construction of the school building with 45 rooms was completed in just 90 days. period of time under the meticulous supervision and skilful guidance of Dr. R.N. Shetty. The entire expense of the construction was generously donated by Dr.R N Shetty.
Rechristened as RNS Vidyaniketan
The newly constructed building was inaugurated by Sri. Dhananjaya Kumar, the then Union Minister on 25th June,2002. The permission to run classes from Pre-nursery to 10th Standard was duly obtained. The school was rechristened as R.N.S. Vidyaniketan as a mark of regard towards the benevolent contribution made by the Chairman, Sri. R.N.Shetty towards the institution and the community at large.
Commencement of PU College in 2003
A huge demand for the Institution due its state-of-the-art quality education led to the inception of the PU college. Hence, an additional block was constructed and devoted solely to the PU stream that commenced with tremendous and outpouring demand in the year 2003. The college holds to its credit a thumping record of excellence in academics and in overall performance since its inception.
25 Years of Unparalleled Accomplishment
The concerted efforts of the ever-supportive management and the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff resulted in the successful completion of 25 years of the institution, marking a new era in golden letters in the history of RNS Vidyaniketan. The Silver Jubilee celebration of the institution was celebrated with an emotional satisfaction and a new zeal to achieve new milestones in the years to come.
4000+ Students & A beginning of A New Campus
What started with just 20 students has now reached 4000 plus students today. With the increasing demand and an unwavering commitment of the institution towards the society has now evolved as a new sprawling campus in Yelachaguppe, which is all set to continue its legacy of imparting education.
